Last year alone $33.5 million in purchases were made impacting more than 800,000 people around the world.   There are over 250 gifts from which to choose, ranging in price from $16 to $39,000, but the difference they can make in just one person’s life is priceless.

Here’s how it works.  You can donate life-sustaining gifts through the catalog in honor of someone special, gifts that can change the lives of families and children in need.  Gifts vary from necessities such as animals like chickens and goats, to fishing equipment, from medicine to clean drinking water, from clothing to shelter. Things we take for granted that will keep families alive and make a true difference in their lives, gifted in the name of someone you love.

You can also choose to make to donations to the Maximum Impact Fund, money to be used where it is needed the most, and in return receive beautiful, free handmade gifts from around the world.  Gifts such as jewelry from Uganda to silk scarves from Thailand, along with scarves, bags, stuffed animals, book and more.

Gifts you can keep for yourself or give to a loved one with the knowledge that it represents the difference you helped to make in someone’s life.

New this year is the option to create a personal My Gift Catalog page which allows individuals to create a personalized fundraising page where they can encourage friends and family to visit and purchase a gift from the catalog in lieu of traditional holiday presents.

One such gift you can receive from donating to the Maximum Impact Fund is one of these beautiful handmade ornaments from Nairobi.  There are three different ornaments from which you can choose, the Cross, the Heart or the Star;   or you get all three!

Each Zakale wire and bead ornament are made from recycled materials by Kenyan artists who received a loan from World Vision to grow their business and remove themselves from poverty.  Each one comes with a hook already securely attached so you don’t have to worry with those tiny ornament hooks.

The heart ornament measures around 3” by 3”, the cross 3.5” by 2.5” and the star 4” by 3.5”,  and since they do not weigh much they will not pull the branches of the Christmas tree down.  Each ornament is made from a silver-colored wire decorated with various multi-colored beads.

They are very well made and simple beautiful!
